Google Drops an Ad Bomb on Recent Microsoft, Yahoo! Campaigns
Monday, February 8th, 2010
Yesterday was Suberbowl Sunday and for sportsfans and ad connoisseurs alike it was a great day for entertainment. One of the better executed commercials of the day was Google’s silent search commercial that ran in the third quarter of yesterday’s game. It most likely ran in response to the $100 million campaigns of Yahoo! and Microsoft’s recent search campaign. Their is also some speculation that Google wants to prove with this spot that it’s not afraid of television advertising. Whatever the reason it was in my opinion the best executed commercial yesterday: simple, told a story, and was easy to relate to. (searching on Google, not meeting oversea’s brides)
